The Blade Disc is 53 Years Old!
Many years have passed since TAF Abrasivi has created and patented the first examples of this important abrasive tool. Yet it is surprising to observe how many producers still propose similar versions, perhaps boasting the novelty! These discs, if very little add to the original properties of the product, certainly testify to its affirmation.
The blade disc consists of a semi-rigid support which can be made of plastic or glass fiber and other materials are rarely used. On the peripheral band of the disc, the fan-shaped and partially overlapping layers of cloth are fixed. The gradual consumption of the lamalla of cloth allows a continuous renewal of the abrasive part and therefore a constant and uniform cut, with easily understandable advantages.
